As with many non-profit organizations additional sources of income are required to ensure a group’s vision and goals can continue to move forward. Dolina is no different. We are fortunate that we have three main fundraising activities which provide additional funds to continue to promote Polish culture through song and dance. Our main activities are the sale of Polish Merchandise, pouring beer for Fulton Brewery’s yearly Oktoberfest and the making and selling of Paczki continuing an annual tradition of St. Casimir’s church in St. Paul, MN. The links below provide additional insight into these activities.
By performing these activities in conjunction with our performances, the funds raised help to offset the following costs: rehearsal and storage space rent, purchase of new costumes and the associated repairs, travel expenses associated with performances and our main goal of promoting the education of our members.
However, to execute any fundraising activity an organization needs a small army of volunteers to handle the organization and running of an event. To those who help us, we say THANK YOU. Without our member’s and volunteer’s help, the events are not able to be held and the group has a much more difficult task ahead of it to promote Poland’s culture. If you are interested in volunteering with Dolina please contact us at dolina.mn@dolina.org.
